What You Didn't Know About Rats

What You Didn't Know About Rats
What You Didn't Know About Rats
Many people think that rats are solitary, lonesome individuals. They believe they scurry about deliberately chewing on people's property causing damage, loss of money and time.  This isn't true!

Rats are actually highly social individuals who thoroughly enjoy spending time with other rats in large groups. As well as this they actively seek out the company of humans.  This is one of the many reasons that rats make such good pets; people report that they are friendly, intelligent, hygienic and fun.  They show signs of loneliness and even depression if they are kept in isolation for a period of time.

They don't set out to damage the wiring in cars and machinery. The poor little things have teeth which grow continuously throughout their lives at a rate of between 4.5 and 5.5 inches a year.  They need to be worn down otherwise they become unable to eat.  Hopefully this amazing new device from Hammer Technologies will help prevent some of this damage.

A paper form 2009 showed that the damage caused by rats in the US alone came to nine billion dollars a year. The figure now is probably significantly higher than this.  Act now to prevent the damage before it becomes a problem.
