How Can I Stop Rats Chewing The Wires In My Car?
Rodent damage to cars is big business.  It is common for rats to climb inside a car engine and chew the wires. They often cause significant damage which can cost thousands of pounds to sort out and will mean downtime of a few days for your car.  According to Hammer Tech the average cost of damage is £400. Individual cases can be many thousands, along with the inconvenience and loss of earnings which may come about with the car being in the garage.

It can be very difficult, if not impossible to rat proof a garage; there can be thousands of holes to fill; miss one and the rats will find it.

So what can you do to stop it happening?

Well, for a long time the answer was 'Not a lot'. There are many rat repellents and deterrents available, some of the work and some don't; miss one rat and you have yourselves a problem.  That was until the boffins at Hammer Technologies put their pointy heads together and came up with a new idea. Rat repellent flooring for car garages.

Details are a bit thin on he ground but it sounds promising; something to do with a protective perimeter around whatever you want to protect.  Visit their website and let us know what you think!
